Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor athletic department may have put together the finest academic and athletic year in the program’s history in 2009-10. The Cru qualified more teams for American Southwest Conference Championship Tournaments than any other ASC school. UMHB also tied the school single-year record for teams advancing to the NCAA Division III National Championships.

Belton, TX—The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s golf team placed three players on the 2010 American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference Women’s Golf Team. To be eligible for the Academic All-Conference team, a player must be a sophomore, junior or senior with at least a 3.00 GPA. The player also has to play in more than 50 per cent of the team's contests that season.

Marble Falls, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s golf team could hold its lead on the final day and the Cru women finished in third place at the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament Tuesday afternoon in Marble Falls. The Cru women finished with a 335-355=690, 14 strokes behind team champion Schreiner University’s 342-334=676. U.T.-Tyler took second place with a 345-335=680, 10 shots ahead of UMHB. McMurry University finished in fourth place after shooting 344-348=692, LeTourneau University claimed fifth place with a 352-346=698, Texas Lutheran University fired a 368-370=738 for sixth place and U.T.-Dallas posted a 426-460=886 and finished in seventh place. The two-day, 36-hole event was played on a par-72, 5,912-yard layout at Horseshoe Bay Resort.

Marble Falls, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s golf team put together the top two individual rounds and the Cru has a seven stroke lead after the first round of the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament Monday in Marble Falls. The UMHB women posted a 335 total to lead second-place Schreiner University’s 342 by seven shots. McMurry University is in third place with a 344, defending ASC champion U.T.-Tyler fired a 345 and is in fourth place. LeTourneau University posted a 352 on Monday for fifth place, Texas Lutheran University’s 368 team total is good for sixth place and U.T.-Dallas is in seventh place with a 426 total. The two-day, 36-hole event is being played on a par-72, 5,912-yard layout at Horseshoe Bay Resort.

HORSHOE BAY, Texas –– Eighty-two golfers – 47 men, 35 women – are set to tee off on Monday (April 19) at the 2010 American Southwest Conference Golf Championships being played over two days for the first time at Horseshoe Bay Resort. The conference office released the field on Wednesday (April 14).
