Belton, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor tennis players
Brittni Fausett and
Will Summers swept American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Week honors for the week ending April 21
st. Both student-athletes have now earned multiple ASC Player of the Week honors this spring.
Fausett, a senior from Cameron Yoe High School, posted two victories at #1 singles last week and also teamed with
AshLee Bilbo for two wins at #1 doubles. Her play helped lead the UMHB women to dual match victories over Southwestern University and Hardin-Simmons University. Fausett takes West Division Player of the Week honors for the second time this spring.
Summers, a senior from Belton High School, also went 2-0 at #1 singles for the Cru. He paired with
Collin Davies for two wins at #2 doubles in leading UMHB to dual match victories over Southwestern University and Hardin-Simmons University. This is the third Player of the Week honor for Summers this spring.
The Cru men and women both won ASC West Division titles this spring and will be #1 seeds in the ASC Championship Tournament. UMHB will host the ASC Tournament this weekend with the men and women both getting First Round byes.
