Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor athletic department posted the best finish in school history in the 2012-13 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings. The Cru finished with 273.00 total points and tied for 61
st place among NCAA Division III schools with Rochester (NY) University.
The Cru's school-record point total was led by a National Championship from women's golf, men's basketball's National Runner-Up finish and football's appearance in the National Semifinals. The overall finish and point total are both new high-water marks for UMHB athletics, topping the previous bests of a 68
th place finish and 264.50 points. Those marks were set during the 2007-08 school year.

Randy Mann said. “It has been an incredible year and one that we are very proud of. It is nice to be recognized for the overall year we've had as a department.”
Williams College won the Division III Learfield Sports Directors' Cup title with 1273.75 points. Williams has now captured 16 of the 18 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup crowns. U.T.-Tyler posted the best finish among American Southwest Conference schools, finishing 35
th with 420.00 total points.
The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports -- nine women's and nine men's.
