UMHB sweeps NCATA Weekly Awards for second consecutive week

BELTON, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling swept the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association weekly awards for the week ending March 2nd.

Jenna Hall, a top and tumbler from Houston, was named Division III Athlete of the Week. Hall competed in 13 heats plus team event for the Cru this week. Her performance was highlighted by four scores of 9.55 or higher, including a 9.90 in Seven Element Acro and a 9.85 in Open Pyramid.

Genna Crafts, a base and tumbler from Elgin, was  named Division III Specialist of the Week. Crafts, a standout in the tumbling event for UMHB this week. Her performance was highlighted by a score of 9.20 in the Aerial Pass.
 
Claire Willis, a base and tumbler from Waco, earned Division III Freshman of the Week. She competed in four heats and team event for UMHB this week. Her performance was highlighted by a 9.55 in Synchronized Pyramid.

This is the second weekly award for Hall and Willis and first for Crafts. UMHB returns to action on Sunday, March 8th in a 3 p.m. meet against Augustana at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
