Belton, TX—The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will host a summer baseball camp for children ages 6-13 this summer. UMHB head baseball coach Derek Dunaway will conduct the camp with assistance from Cru assistant coach Chad Thielepape. A staff of current area coaches and collegiate players will assist Coach Dunaway during the camp.
The Cru Baseball Camp will concentrate of fundamentals of hitting, bunting and base running. Throwing mechanics, base running and defensive work will also be covered.
The cost of each camp session is $80 per student. Registration will continue up to the first day the camp. All of the camp sessions will be held at Red Murff Field on the UMHB campus. Registration forms are available in the UMHB athletic office. For more information, please call Coach Derek Dunaway at (254) 295-4619. Each camp session will be limited to the first 50 participants.
The Cru will also host a Little Cru Camp for kids ages 4-6 this summer. The one-day camp will cover basic baseball skills. Each camper will receive a t-shirt and refreshments and parents are encouraged to attend, as well. The cost of the Little Cru Camp is $25 per child.
