Belton, TX— The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team placed four players on the American Southwest Conference Fall Academic All-Conference Team released today. To be eligible for the ASC Academic All-Conference Team, a player must be a sophomore, junior or senior and have been at their school for one full year. The player must carry at least a 3.00 GPA and earn a letter for the team that season.
Erin Maenius is a junior libero and management major from San Antonio MacArthur High School. Jasmine Austin is a sophomore defensive specialist and communications major from Carenco High School in Scott, Louisiana. Sara Hayward is a sophomore outside hitter and biology major from Nacogdoches High School. Kayla Marzean is a sophomore setter and nursing major from Pflugerville Hendrickson High School.
This is the second Academic All-Conference honor for Maenius. The other three players are making their first appearances on the ASC Academic All-Conference Team. The Cru volleyball team finished 8-25 overall and 5-12 in conference play last season.
