Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team placed a total of six players on the American Southwest Conference All-West Division Teams released today. UMHB had four First Team All-West selections and a pair of Honorable Mention All-West choices.

Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball player Kyle Flynn has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI Second Team. He is one of just five American Southwest Conference players selected to the academic honor squad.

Clinton, MS – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team could not find an answer for the Mississippi College offense as the Cru dropped an 11-3 decision to the Choctaws in an American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament First Round Series Saturday in Clinton, Mississippi. The Choctaws sweep the series and improve to 34-7 overall on the season. Mississippi College will now move on to the second round of the ASC Tournament next weekend. The loss ends UMHB’s season at 22-19 overall. The Cru has now lost to the Choctaws on the road in the first round of the ASC Tournament in three straight seasons.

Clinton, MS – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team could not answer Mississippi College’s nine-run seventh inning as the Cru dropped a 15-7 decision to the Choctaws in the opening game of an American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament first round series Friday in Clinton. The Cru falls to 22-18 on the season with the loss. The Choctaws improve to 33-7 on the year with the victory.

Clinton, MS – The start time for game one of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team’s American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament series this weekend in Mississippi has changed. The Cru will now take on the Mississippi College Choctaws in a 2:00 PM start instead of the originally scheduled start time of 6:00 PM. The change was made due to the threat of rain in Mississippi. There has been no change to the 2:00 PM start time for Saturday’s second game.

Max Taylor
Football
Max has been named of 112 finalists for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. He has helped organize the UMHB Sole 2 Soul campaign each of the past two years. That campaign has helped raise nearly $3,300 and four boxes of shoes for donation to orphans in Haiti. Max is also a Preseason All-American and one of the team leaders for the Cru football program on and off the field.
Sara Hayward
Women's Volleyball
Sara has been elected to serve as President of the UMHB Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The junior is also a standout on the court for the Cru volleyball team and she will be counted on to serve as a team leader in addition to her duties as SAAC President.
