Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor head baseball coach Micah Wells has submitted his resignation, effective August 2nd. Wells will be taking a teaching position in order to spend more time with his family. Cru assistant baseball coach Derek Dunaway has been named interim head coach and will guide the UMHB baseball program through the 2011 season.

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor athletic department may have put together the finest academic and athletic year in the program’s history in 2009-10. The Cru qualified more teams for American Southwest Conference Championship Tournaments than any other ASC school. UMHB also tied the school single-year record for teams advancing to the NCAA Division III National Championships.

Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s soccer player Lindsay Hunt and baseball player Kyle Flynn have been named the UMHB winners of the American Southwest Conference Scholar-Athlete Awards. The ASC Scholar-Athlete Awards are presented to one male and one female member of the graduating class who has compiled the most outstanding record in academics, athletics and leadership over their collegiate career. The awards are presented annually by the Faculty Athletic Representative at each conference member institution.

Belton, TX— The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team placed eight players on the American Southwest Conference Spring All-Conference Team, released today. To be eligible for the ASC Academic All-Conference Team, a player must be a sophomore, junior or senior and have attended the school for a full year. The student-athlete must also earn a letter and maintain at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA.

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team placed a total of six players on the American Southwest Conference All-West Division Teams released today. UMHB had four First Team All-West selections and a pair of Honorable Mention All-West choices.

Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball player Kyle Flynn has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI Second Team. He is one of just five American Southwest Conference players selected to the academic honor squad.
