Belton, TX—The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's golf team placed two players on the 2010 American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference Golf Team. To be eligible for the Academic All-Conference team, a player must be a sophomore, junior or senior with at least a 3.00 GPA. The player also has to play in more than 50 per cent of the team's contests that season.
Mike McQuaid is a sophomore exercise and sport science major from Duncanville High School. Garrison Nordt is a senior business administration major from Midway High School.
This is the third Academic All-Conference honor for Nordt. McQuaid is a first-time ASC Academic All-Conference honoree.
The UMHB men's golf team finished second at the ASC Championship Tournament this spring. The Cru also won the UMHB Spring Invitational Tournament this spring.
