Women's Golf places three on Academic All-Conference Team

Belton, TX—The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team placed three players on the 2010 American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference Women's Golf Team. To be eligible for the Academic All-Conference team, a player must be a sophomore, junior or senior with at least a 3.00 GPA. The player also has to play in more than 50 per cent of the team's contests that season.
            Mallory McAdams is a graduate student from Robinson High School and is completing work on her Master's Degree in education. Courtney Nelson is a senior education major from Aledo High School. Christi Williams is a senior sport management major from Snyder High School. McAdams also earned Academic All-Conference honors in basketball this year and Williams also earned Academic All-Conference honors as an assistant in the UMHB Sports Information Office this spring.
            This is the fifth overall Academic All-Conference honors for McAdams, including her basketball honors. Williams has earned a combined six Academic All-Conference honors between golf and her duties as an assistant in the UMHB Sports Information Office. Nelson is a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree.
            The Cru women finished third at the ASC Championship Tournament this spring. Williams, McAdams and Nelson were the top three finishers for the Cru women in that tournament.
