Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team placed three players on the American Southwest Conference All-Conference Teams released today. The Cru had a pair of Third Team selections and one Honorable Mention pick.
Jordan Powers and
Taylor Bullock were both voted to the ASC All-Conference Third Team. Powers, a junior defender from Deer Park High School, was one of the top defenders for a defense that gave up 42 goals in 18 matches. She also scored three goals and added two assists for eight total points. Bullock, a senior forward from Rockwall Heath High School, scored four goals and added three assists for 11 total points. Bullock had one game-winning goal and took a team-best 63 shots on the season.
Briana Alston was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection. Alston, a sophomore forward from Killeen Ellison High School, led the Cru with six goals and she added one assist for a team-high 13 points. She scored two game-winning goals and took 30 shots on the year.
The Cru finished the 2011 season with a 5-12-1 overall record and went 5-8 in ASC play. This is the second All-Conference honor for Powers. Bullock and Alston are both making their first appearance on the ASC All-Conference teams during their UMHB careers.
