Box Score Belton, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team won the opening match of the day, but could not hold on to that momentum in a 5-1 loss to U.T.-Tyler in the Semifinals of the American Southwest Conference Tournament Saturday in Belton. U.T.-Tyler moves into the ASC Championship Match with the victory.

AshLee Bilbo teamed for an 8-1 win at #1 doubles, but the Patriots answered with wins at #2 doubles (Haley Albro and Jessica Blundell) and #3 doubles (Emily Evans and Nicole Musngi) to grab a 2-1 lead. U.T.-Tyler then posted wins at #4, #3 and #6 singles to clinch the victory. Fausett had a 6-1, 4-3 lead at #1 singles when the match was halted.
U.T.-Tyler improves to 15-9 on the season with the win and moves into Sunday's 1:00 PM Championship Match to take on U.T.-Dallas. That match will be played at the Yvonne Li Tennis Center on the UMHB campus. The ASC Tournament Champion also claims the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Championships. The loss ends UMHB's season at 8-3 and also closes out Fausett's Cru regular season playing career.
