RICHARDSON,Texas – Tennis teams in the American Southwest Conference will be able to get an early-season look at each other during the annual American Southwest Conference Singles/Doubles Tournament being held from September 17-19 (Thursday-Saturday) on the campuses ofHardin-Simmons University andAbilene Christian University in Abilene,Texas.
The tourney, being played in September for the fifth straight year, will feature a nine-flight singles format for the men and an eight-flight format for the women. Both will play a four-flight doubles format. McMurry University head coach Mark Hathorn and HSU head coach Shane Williford will serve as co-hosts.
Doubles action will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday night, with singles play starting at 8 a.m. on Friday. Both singles and doubles championships are slated for Saturday afternoon at Abilene Christian University.
