Te'Ron showed immense courage sharing his testimony as part of our Athlete Testimony series.
His bravery in that endeavor is both respected and appreciated. 
 
Shorey played an integral part in our Emergency Action Plan during a women's soccer game. 
Her willingness to jump in and help allowed us to get the student-athlete the care she needed.
 
Rachel is just a really positive person to be around or talk to, especially in her position in the Human Performance Lab. 
She always brings a smile to your face and positive energy to anyone she encounters. 
 
Bryton played an integral part in our Emergency Action Plan during a women's soccer game. 
Her willingness to jump in and help allowed us to get the student-athlete the care she needed.
 
Jaci jumped in to help the athletic department get student-athletes in compliance by providing testing.
She organized, managed and executed a plan on incredibly short notice with a positive attitude. 
Several student-athletes were cleared thanks to her tireless work.

AUP
Emily has endured severe shin splints that ended her fall season. As a captain,
she continues to lead the team from the sideline. She ensures everyone is present,
on time, and "All In" every day. Emily was also instrumental in the planning and promotion of the toy toss.

Nolan took initiative at our TOUCHDOWNS event and made friends with a participant who could not move or speak.
He grabbed a tailgate game and moved it to where the participant was sitting so he could engage.

Emilee suffered an injury on the sidelines of a football game that required immediate stitches.
She got stitches during halftime and went right back to filming the contest.

Dr. Sombito played a big part in getting graduation stoles for student-athletes.
He anchored the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's initiative and got that passed.


NOVEMBER
 
HEMMERLING
The UMHB Baseball team adopted two brothers earlier this year who recently lost their father.
Jasson and Jesse have gone above and beyond, going to the boys' baseball games and practices. 
They have put their time and energy into mentoring the brothers.
 
Leggett
Jonathan is known for always being polite, respectful and kind. 
His positive demeanor and constant gratitude are noticed by many across campus. 
 
JOHNSON
MaryAlice and Valentino helped the athletic department with several events this fall, including
ring ceremonies and conference championships.
They are always pleasant to work with and go out of their way to make athletic events run smoothly.

Dr. Jared Hunt is a huge supporter of Cru Athletics.
He is always willing to jump in and provide whatever he can to make our athletic events better. 
 
Marek
Caleb helped us build more than 1,600 gift bags for our educational game with women's basketball.
His work behind the camera is great, but he is also always willing to help out wherever else is needed.

Abby came up to the athletic offices two different times over the break to help us build gift bags for our 
educational game with women's basketball. She is often around when these projects begin
and never hesitates to jump in and help. 


 
JANUARY

Makaelyn has a positive attitude coupled with deep determination to be successful that shines in everything she does.
She is a pleasure to work with in class and she has gone out of her way to assist in the EXSS Lab and with moving equipment..
 
CLINE
Easton is the baseball SAAC representative, a constant attendee in the FCA, and is coming off a 4.0 fall semester in the classroom.
Beyond that, Easton is on the baseball leadership team, a group that is voted on by his teammates.
Easton embodies what UMHB is all about. His love for Christ as well as those around him is unmatched. 
He is also one of the kindest, most considerate, polite and respectful students as deemed by his professors.
He demonstrates genuine care for others consistently and has the exceptional ability to relate people of all ages and personalities.
UMHB is better because of him.

Jordan has faithfully attended and helped lead a softball bible study that she and one of her teammates helped resurface. 
She also lives out her faith in her work and in interactions with others and dedication to her class. 
She is an outstanding person, student and a blessing to our university.

Jennifer consistently exemplifies what it means to "put on the full armor of God" through her diligence, integrity, and unwavering commitment to serving others.
In a role that is often behind the scenes, Jennifer ensures that our department operates smoothly, ethically, and efficiently, often under tight deadlines and high-pressure circumstances. She approaches every last-minute request with patience, professionalism, and a servant's heart. Whether navigating complex purchasing processes, helping staff find solutions within policy, or stepping in to resolve issues before they become problems, Jennifer does so with grace and a calm spirit. Her attention to detail protects the university, supports our coaches and staff, and ultimately impacts our student-athletes in meaningful ways.
