Men’s Cross Country opens season at Concordia Texas Tornado Watch

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's cross country team opened the 2021 season finishing fifth at the Concordia University Texas Tornado Watch 5K Wednesday morning in Round Rock.
 
UMHB finished with a total-time of 1:44:53, ending with a team-total of 126 points. Jonathan Stirtz was the top-finisher for the Cru, crossing the line in 26th with a time of 19:56.2. Justin Miller (20:12.3) and Sean Reid (20:38.1) finished in 28th and 29th while Bryce Guana (21:27.9) crossed in 33rd. Logan Garner also competed for the Cru, finishing 38th at 22:39.6.  
 
The University of Texas won the meet with a total-time of 1:15:34. The Longhorns placed all seven runners in the top-seven at the meet. Concordia University Texas finished second with 54 points while Texas Lutheran came in third with 82 points. Sul Ross State University finished fourth with 115 points.
 
The Cru returns to action on Saturday, September 18th at the Our Lady of the Lake Invitational at 7:30 a.m. in San Antonio.
