GRANBURY, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team holds fourth place after the first day at the ASC Preview at Nutcracker Golf Club in Granbury.
Sarah Kmiecik and
Sydney McConnell led the Cru both shooting a 78 (+6) to stand tied for 11
th.
Lily Self had a first round 81 (+9) while
Avery Hill is one stroke behind at 82 (+10).
Lexie Manriquez also competed for the Cru shooting a first-round 83 (+11).
UMHB finished the day at 319 (+31) to hold the fourth spot in the team competition. UT Dallas stands in first place shooting a 304 (+16) while UC Santa Cruz is three strokes behind in second. Concordia Texas is in third with a 311 (+23) and LeTourneau University finishes out the top five shooting a first-round 322 (+34). East Texas Baptist University (343) and Hardin-Simmons University (351) hold the sixth and seventh spot.
The Cru returns to action for the final round of the ASC Preview Tuesday, October 11
th.
