GRANBURY, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team placed second out of seven teams at the ASC Preview Tuesday afternoon in Granbury.
Sydney McConnell was the lead Crusader, shooting a 78-74=152 (+8) to finish in fifth.
Sarah Kmiecik was one stroke behind with an overall 153 (+9) to tie for sixth while
Avery Hill shot a 158 (+14) to finish 12
th.
Lily Self and
Lexie Manriquez also competed for the Cru shooting a 160 (+16) and 162 (+18), respectively, to finish in the top 20.
UMHB shot a second round 304 (+16) to finish in second with a 319-304=623 (+47). UT Dallas claimed first place in the team competition shooting a 610 (+34). UC Santa Cruz was just five strokes behind in third while Concordia Texas followed in fourth with a 634 (+58). LeTourneau University finished out the top five shooting a 652 (+76). East Texas Baptist University (676) and Hardin-Simmons University (692) took the final two spots.
