MARSHALL, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's cross country team finished eighth at the 2022 American Southwest Conference Cross Country Championship meet Saturday in Marshall. The Cru finished with a total-time of 2:41:33, ending with 242 points for eighth.
Andrew Young led the Cru with a total-time of 29:34.3, finishing 52
nd individually.
Noah Baca (32:16.7) and
Latrell Bowen (32:30.0) were the next Crusaders to cross, finishing 76
th and 77
th with
Isaac Osorio (33:10.4) just behind them in 80
th.
Evan Burnell (34:02.1) finished 83
rd, followed by
Reece Rollins (34:41.7) and
Justin Miller (35:56.3).
McMurry won the ASC title with a total-time of 2:12.32. UT Dallas earned the runners-up spot at 2:14.11 and 54 points, followed by LeTourneau in third at 2:18.53 and 103 points. Concordia University Texas crossed in fourth with a total-time of 2:19.32, followed by Ozarks in fifth at 2:19.47. Hardin-Simmons and East Texas Baptist finished in sixth and seventh while Sul Ross State was the final competing team, finishing ninth.
The season concludes on Saturday, November 12
th at the NCAA Regionals in Spokane, Wash.
