Women’s Golf ties for lead at Lady Bulldog Classic

BLANCO, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team shot a 304 in the final round of play at the Lady Bulldog Classic, jumping two spots to tie for the win as  Sarah Kmiecik claimed the individual title.
 
Kmiecik tied her collegiate low-round score with a 70 in the second round, finishing with individual win at 75-70=145. Lily Self finished fifth with a pair of 79s for a 158 while Sydney McConnell came in 11th at 88-77=165. Avery Hill and Lexie Manriquez finished tied for 12th with cards of 166.
 
UMHB tied for Trinity University for the team title. The Cru shot 328-304=632 while the Tigers finished at 312-320=632. Southwestern University finished third at 323-331=654, followed by LeTourneau University (671) and Our Lady of the Lake (676). Schreiner University finished sixth with a 693, followed by Texas Lutheran in seventh at 717, Hardin-Simmons in eighth at 721 and University of Dallas in ninth with a 725.
 
The Cru returns to action September 25th – 26th in the Montgomery Intercollegiate in Montgomery, Alabama.
