MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team finished seventh at the MCC Women's Intercollegiate Monday in Montgomery.
UMHB shot a 302 in the final round to finish at 609 (+33) on the tournament.
Sarah Kmiecik led the Cru with a 70-75=145 to finish eighth in the tournament.
Avery Hill led the Cru with a +1 in the second round, jumping up 20 spots to finish tied for 24
th at 80-73=153 (+9).
Sydney McConnell came in behind her, finishing at 80-75=155 (+11) to tie for 32
nd place. Lexi Manriquez shot a second-round 79 to finish at 156 (+12) and tie for 38
th while
Lily Self finished with an 89-85=174.
Washington University – St. Louis won the tournament with a 291-288=579 (+3). Centre College jumped to second on day two with a 291-292=583 (+7) while Washington and Lee finished third at 303-290=593 (+17). Emory University came in fourth at +19, followed by Carnegie Mellon in fifth at +22. Other tournament participants included Methodist University (+27), Sewanee (+35), Oglethorpe (+46), Rhodes College (+62), Berry College (+64), Concordia Texas (+67), Piedmont (+72), Huntingdon College (+79) and Birmingham-Southern College (+121).
