Women’s Golf finishes 16th at Jekyll Island Collegiate

JEKYLL ISLAND, Georgia – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Women's Golf team finished 16th out of 24 teams at the Jekyll Island Collegiate.  
 
Sarah Kmiecik led UMHB, finishing tied for 25th place with an 85-72-74=231 (+15). Avery Hill was next for the Cru carding an 81-80-81=242 (+26) to finish in 59th place. Sydney McConnell was just two strokes behind Hill shooting an 80-80-84=244 (+28) while Lily Self had an 86-83-87=256 (+40) overall.
 
UMHB finished in the 16th spot after a third-round 326 (+38) brought them to a total of 332-315-326=973 (+109). Redlands won the team competition with a three-day total of 300-299-302 (+37). Pomona-Pitzer came in second shooting a 906 (+42) while Sewanee finished third with a 910 (+46). Washington U-St. Louis and Carnegie Mellon rounded out the top five, tying for fourth place, carding an overall 919 (+55).
 
UMHB returns to action March 26th-28th at the Linda Lowery Invitational Round Rock.
