Sarah Kmiecik tied for 22
nd at the 2023 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships.
Kmiecik opened the final round on the back nine with five pars and three birdies, holding at -2 halfway through the round. She followed that with four holes of par on the front nine, to card an overall 78 (+5) on the day. Kmiecik finished the tournament in a three-way tie for 22
nd place with an overall 80-79-78=237 (+18). Kmiecik totaled 26 pars on the tournament and ranked second in the field with eight birdies.
Annie Mascot of Washington University – St. Louis won the individual championship with a 224 (+5) while two players follow her in second at +8. George Fox University claimed the team championship, shooting a 933 (+57). Washington University – St. Louis finished second at 938 (+62) while Claremont-Mudd-Scripps placed third at 943 (+67). American Southwest Conference affiliate UT Dallas finished 14th after carding a 986 (+110).
This was the first individual bid for Kmiecik and fifth consecutive season the Cru has been represented in the championship tournament.
