Women’s Golf finishes 17th at Golfweek October Classic

DESTIN, Fla. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team finished 17th at the Golfweek October Classic Tuesday in Destin. 

UMHB shot a 311 (+23) in the final round of action to end the tournament with a 314-312-311=937 (73). Izzy Crow and Avery Hill were the Cru's top competitors, finishing tied for 63rd overall at +17 on the tournament. Hill shot a 75 (+3) in the third round, with Crow just behind her at 76 (+4). Camryn Kiser came in tied for 66th at +18 after three rounds. Kiser closed out the tournament with an 80 (+8) in her final round. Brooke Norman also competed for the Cru, tying for 89thoverall at +25 on the tournament and +8 in her Tuesday round. Karlee Holcomb and Lexie Manriquez also competed for the Cru earlier in the week but were not part of Tuesday's participants. 

Washington University – St. Louis won the tournament with an 868 (+4) overall, carding a 284 (-4) in the third round. Carnegie Mellon finished second with an 870 (+6) followed by Emory University with an 877 (+13). Williams College (+23) and Pomona-Pitzer (+27) rounded out the top five. 

UMHB returns to action November 1st – 2nd at the American Southwest Conference Preview in Aleco, TX.
