DOUGLASVILLE, Georgia – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's golf team finished the West Pines Collegiate in sixth place Tuesday after three rounds in Douglasville.
UMHB finished sixth in the tournament, shooting a 292-296-299=887.
Evan Acevedo was the top Crusader, finishing 13
th at +4 overall in the tournament. Acevedo shot a 72-73-72=217, carding eight birdies across three rounds.
Grant Carter was the next Crusader, shooting a 221 (+8) over three rounds. Carter opened with a 73 (+2) and finished with a 72 (+1) to tie for 25
th overall.
Luke Lohman finished 42
nd with a 226 (+13) over three rounds. Lohman opened with a 75 (+4) and shot his best round in the second 18 holes with a 74 (+3).
Jack Workman finished just behind Lohman, carding a 227 (+14). Workman shot a 72 (+1) and 73 (+2) in the opening day of competition.
William Mullin also competed for the Cru, finishing tied for 61
st with a 231 (+18). The field included 105 total athletes in competition.
Oglethorpe won the tournament with an 850 (-2). Lynchburg dropped to second place with an 855 (+3), followed by Mississippi-Women (+12) in third. Babson came in fourth at 872 (+20), followed by Berry in fifth at (+24). Tournament play included 20 total teams with UMHB as the lone Texas competitors.
