Baseball ranked in D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 Poll

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team made its debut in the D3baseball.com Top 25 Poll this week, earning its first spot in the top 25 at #20.

UMHB totaled 118 points in this week's ballot to move from the receiving votes category into the top 25. Shenandoah leads the poll with 614 points and 18 first-place votes followed by Endicott with 590 points and five first-place votes. Baldwin Wallace is in third with 569 points, followed by Salisbury with 518 points and one first-place vote and American Southwest Conference member East Texas Baptist with 508 points. Trinity (Texas) is also ranked in the poll, coming in 12th with 316 points.

The Cru is currently 13-1 on the season with sweeps over Austin College, Concordia University Texas and Schreiner University. UMHB also has wins at Howard Payne, St. Thomas (Texas) and Trinity. The 13-1 start is the program's best opener since entering NCAA Division III.

The Cru has been mentioned in the receiving votes category in the 2024, 2014 and 2011 seasons with top-25 rankings in 2008 and 2009. UMHB climbed as high as 18th during the 2008 season when they spent eight weeks in the poll.

UMHB returns to action on Wednesday, March 13th in a 2:30 p.m. contest against Whittier College. The Cru will also host McMurry University in an ASC series Friday, March 15th – Saturday, March 16th in Belton.
