Men’s Golf moves up two spots, finishes second at West Pines Collegiate

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's golf team placed second at the West Pines Collegiate Tuesday in Douglasville, Georgia. The team battled back after finishing the first day in fourth, climbing its way back during day two to finish as runner-up.  
 
Colton O'Dell won the individual title, shooting 70-65-71= 206 (-7). O'Dell carded 13 birdies and one eagle in the tournament. Carter Demske followed in 16th, shooting 72-74-71=217 (+4) with nine birdies. Cade Barone placed 29th shooting 75-73 -72 =220 (+7), followed by Lucas Latimer in 48th shooting 76-75-72=223 (+10). Cole MacMillan also competed for the Cru, placing 80th with a 73-89-78=240 (+18). 
 
Rhodes College won the tournament shooting 278-284-292=854 (+2). UMHB placed second with a  290-287-286=863 (+11). Piedmont placed third with a 293-282-292=867 (+15), followed by Southern Virginia and Oglethorpe tied for fourth at 868 (+16). 
 
The Cru return to action on October 12th in Sandestin, Florida at the Golfweek Invitational.
