Men’s Golf finishes fifth at Cochran Collegiate

CORDOVA, Tenn. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's golf team finished the Cochran Collegiate in fifth place out of 18 total teams. The Cru shot a 315-292-315=922 (+58) to finish in the top five.
 
Cole MacMillan finished the tournament with a 74 (+2) in the final round, placing fourth with a 224 (+8) overall. Evan Acevedo finished 23rd individually with a 231 (+15), carding a 78 (+6) in the third round. Trey Archer carded a 79 (+7) in the final round, finishing the tournament with a 232 (+16) to place 28th. Grant Carter (+21) and William Mullin (+25) also competed for the Cru.
 
Oglethorpe won the tournament with an 899 (+35), shooting a 296 (+8) in the third round. Lynchburg carded a 904 (+40) to finish second, followed by Babson in third with a 913 (+49). Illinois Wesleyan carded a 916 (+52) to place fourth, followed by the Cru in fifth. Hampden-Sydney (+60), Gustavus Adolphus (+62), Berry (+64), Piedmont (+65) and Millikin (+66) all finished in the top ten.
 
UMHB returns to action in the 2025 American Southwest Conference Men's Golf Championship Tournament at Nutcracker Golf Club in Granbury.
