SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling team competed in the 2025 National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association National Championships Thursday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. UMHB competed against No. 2 seed University of Oregon in the NCATA Quarterfinals.
UMHB opened with a 36.100 in Compulsory, led by a 9.625 in Compulsory Toss. The Ducks scored a 37.425 in Compulsory, led by a 9.775 in Compulsory Pyramid. The Cru followed with a 27.925 in Acro, anchored with a 9.625 in Five Element. Oregon scored a 28.050, leading with a 9.8 in Five Element. UMHB closed the first half with a 9.725 in Open Pyramid en route to a 28.50 in Pyramid. The Ducks scored a 29.325 in that event, led by a 9.950 in Open.
The Cru opened the second half with a 26.950 in Toss, highlighted with a 9.425 in Open. UMHB followed that with a 48.325 in Tumbling, led by a 9.200 in the Aerial pass. Oregon scored a 28.400 in Toss with three consecutive scores of 9.375 or better. The Ducks followed with six straight 9.050s or higher in Tumbling, scoring a 56.625 in Tumbling.
UMHB finished with an 84.380 in Team event, scoring a 252.180 in the meet. The Ducks finished with a 91.030 in Team, earning the win with a 270.855.
UMHB will await participation in the 2025 NCATA National Championship Event Finals on Sunday, April 27
th.
