Football ranked eighth in D3football.com Top 25 Poll

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football team has been ranked eighth in the D3football.com 2025 Preseason Poll, released Wednesday.
 
UMHB finished the 2024 season in the NCAA Quarterfinals with an 8-4 record. The Cru earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Playoffs, earning road playoff wins at Trinity University, Hardin-Simmons University and Linfield University.
 
North Central is ranked first in the poll after a perfect 15-0 season, capped with the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championship. Mount Union is ranked second, finishing 14-1 a season ago with a loss to the Cardinals in the final. Johns Hopkins and Susquehanna are ranked third and fourth, respectively, after a pair of NCAA semifinal finishes. St. John's rounds out the top five, finishing the 2024 season at 11-1 while Hardin-Simmons is sixth and Salisbury is seventh. Wartburg and Cortland round out the top ten.
 
UMHB's 2025 schedule features a pair of top-25 opponents in No. 6 Hardin-Simmons and No. 24 UW-Whitewater. The Cru will kickoff against Bethel (Tenn.) on Saturday, September 6th at Crusader Stadium in Belton.
