Men’s Golf back in eighth at NCAA DIII Men’s Golf National Championship

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fl. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's golf team is in eighth entering the final day of action at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championships.

UMHB shot a tournament-low 283 (-5) in the third round, moving up three spaces to take eighth place with an 868 (+8). Lucas Latimer led the Cru with a 69 (-3) in the third round, placing him in 36th with a 219 (+4). Cole MacMillan shot a 71 (-1), placing him in 30th at 218 (+3), followed by Cade Barone and Carter Demske tied for 42nd at 220 (+5). Barone shot even-par 72 in the third round while Demske carded a 75 (+5). Colton O'Dell shot a 71 (-1) in his third round, placing him tied for 69th overall.

Illinois Wesleyan leads the field with an 855 (-5), followed by Washington and Lee at 860 (E). Kenyon is in third at 816 (+1), followed by Aurora and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps tied for fourth at 862 (+2). Carnegie Mellon (+3) and Methodist (+6) are in sixth and seventh, respectively, while Emory (+11) and Sewanee (+12) round out the top ten.

UMHB continues in the final round of action on Friday, May 15th in a 10:30 a.m. start time at Mission Inn.
