Women’s Golf tied for 17th after opening round at NCAA Championship

PALM DESERT, Calif. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team is tied for 17th after the first round of action at the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Golf National Championship Tuesday in Palm Desert, California.
 
UMHB shot a 312 (+24) in the first round, tying them for 17th. Izzy Crow led the Cru with a 74 (+2), highlighting her round with a trio of birdies. Katie Rhude shot a 77 (+5), followed by Camryn Kiser (+8), Julia Sosa (+9) and Brooke Norman (+10). Crow is tied for 15th individually while Rhude is tied for 56th.
 
Carnegie Mellon leads the team competition with a 291 (+3), followed by Washington and Lee with a 292 (+4) and Emory with a 293 (+5). New York University is in fourth with a 296 (+8) while Claremont-Mudd-Scripps rounds out the top five at 297 (+9).
 
UMHB returns to action tomorrow in an 8:40 a.m. tee time on the Firecliff Course at Desert Willow Golf Club.
