WHITNEY, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team extended its lead to a dominating 21 strokes, carding a 304 (+16) in the second round at the 2026 American Southwest Conference Women's Golf Championship Tournament Saturday in Whitney.
UMHB shot 304 (+16), extending the lead to more than 20 strokes with a 617 (+41) on the tournament. UC Santa Cruz is in second, shooting a 323 (+35) in round two for a 638 (+62) for the tournament, followed by Hardin-Simmons (+91) and East Texas Baptist (+114).
Camryn Kiser was the lead Crusader in round two, shooting a 73 (+1), putting her at 152 (+8) atop the individual leaderboard.
Brooke Norman shot a 77 (+5), placing her in second at 153 (+9) followed by
Julia Sosa (+10) who also carded a 77 and is in fourth.
Katie Rhude was the third Crusader with a 77 in the second round and is tied for seventh individually with
Izzy Crow.
Payton Cox is also competing for the Cru. Cox carded a 78 (+6) in her second round.
UMHB leads the tournament in par-3 scoring (+8), par-4 scoring (+66), par-5 scoring (+12), birdies (19) and pars (109). Rhude is the tournament leader in par-3 scoring at -1 with Norman and Kiser leading par-4s at +7. Sosa and Kiser are also the leaders in par-5s at -2 while Sosa also has a tournament-high five birdies.
UMHB returns to action in a shotgun start in the final round of action Sunday morning at White Bluff Old Course in Whitney.
