BELTON, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team named three athletes to the Women's Golf Coaches Association Scholar All-America Team, released Monday.
Payton Cox, a junior from Robinson, competed in 10 rounds for the Cru, recording a top-five finish at The Legends Cup. Cox also finished 12
th at the ASC Championship and holds a 3.85 grade-point average as an education major.
Katie Rhude, a freshman from Cave Creek, Arizona, has competed in 22 rounds this season with a scoring average of 79.35. Rhude tallied a top-ten finish at the West Region Invitational and shot a season-low 153 (+7) at the Chick-fil-a Invitational. Rhude also finished sixth at the ASC Championship, earning all-tournament honors. She has a 3.79 grade-point average as a political science major.
Brooke Norman, a senior from Southlake, competed in seven tournaments this season with two top-five finishes. She carded a season-low 75 (+2) at the Chick-fil-A Invitational and played an instrumental role in helping the Cru win the 2026 ASC Championship. She shot a 76-77-78=231 (+15), taking second place in the tournament by just one stroke. Norman's tournament was arguably the best of her career. She graduated with a perfect 4.0 as a business major.
This is Norman's second WGCA Scholar All-America Team recognition and first for Cox and Rhude.
