Riley Chimwala joined the Cru in June of 2024 after a successful collegiate career at Baylor University (2020-2024). She helped lead the Bears to four consecutive NCATA National Championships during her tenure. As a four-time NCATA All-America selection, Chimwala was a decorated athlete at Baylor. She also earned NCATA DI Most Outstanding Athlete of the Year, Female Student-Athlete of the Year (Baylor Athletics), MVP and the Leadership Award (Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling) and NCATA Freshman of the Year.
Prior to joining the Cru, Chimwala has spent multiple summers coaching acrobatics and tumbling camps. She has also coached at Zero Gravity Gymnastics Academy in Waco and has experience as a Social Media Intern for Baylor Athletics. She was a member of the Baylor Athletics Leadership Institute.
Chimwala graduated from Baylor University in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications. She is a native of Plano, where she was a five-time national winner in Acrobatics and placed third at Cheer Worlds.
