Samara serves as a team captain and is expected to be a starting guard this season.

2011-12: Started in one game and saw playing time in 15 ... Scored 39 points and brought down 15 rebounds for per game averages of 2.6 (points) and 1.0 (rebounds) ... added three steals and nine assists.

Samara is studying business computer information systems at UMHB. She was a three-time all-district basketball player at Warren High School, where she served as a team captain for three years and also earned three MVP awards. Samara is the daughter of Emily Coppin.
