Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's and women's tennis teams opened the spring dual match season in style as both the Cru and Lady Cru topped Schreiner University Friday afternoon in Belton. The Cru women rolled to a 9-0 victory while the UMHB men posted a 6-3 win over the Mountaineers. The UMHB men and women are both 1-0 overall and 1-0 in American Southwest Conference West Division play. The Mountaineers men and women both fall to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the ASC West Division on the season with the losses.
The Cru men and women will return to action with four dual matches on the road next week. UMHB will travel to Longview to take on LeTourneau University on Thursday. The Cru men and women will then play matches against Hendrix College, Rhodes College and Millsaps College over the weekend in Conway, Arkansas.
