Box Score 2 Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's and women's tennis teams swept dual matches from Howard Payne University Saturday afternoon in Belton. The Cru women took a 9-0 decision and clinched a berth in the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament with the win. The UMHB men won a 6-3 decision and stayed alive in the hunt for an ASC Tournament berth, but the Cru men will need help to claim a bid. The UMHB women are now 10-5 overall and 5-1 in ASC West Division play on the season and the Cru women will be the West Division's #2 seed in the ASC Tournament. The Cru men move to 8-5 overall and 4-2 in the ASC West with the victory.
The Cru men and women will now close out the regular season with one more home match next weekend. UMHB will host U.T.-Dallas for a 1:30 PM start next Saturday at the Yvonne Li Tennis Center.
