Georgetown, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor tennis teams took the lead in doubles and then held on through singles as the Cru men and women both posted dual match victories over Southwestern University Friday afternoon in Georgetown. The UMHB women posted a 6-3 win while the UMHB men won 9-0. With the win, the Cru women raise their record to 11-5 overall and the UMHB men improve to 8-5 on the spring.
The UMHB men and women will now return home to host Hardin-Simmons University in a crucial American Southwest Conference West Division showdown tomorrow at the Yvonne Li Tennis Center. The winner of the women's match will win the ASC West Division and earn the right to host the ASC Championship Tournament. The UMHB men could clinch the #2 seed from the West Division in the ASC Championship Tournament with a win over the Cowboys.
