Men's tennis falls to McMurry 8-1

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's tennis team posted a victory at #2 singles, but that's as close as the Cru could get in an 8-1 loss to McMurry University Friday afternoon in Belton. Will Summers won in straight sets at #2 singles for the only win of the day for the UMHB men. The Cru falls to 6-5 overall and 3-1 in American Southwest Conference West Division play on the spring with the loss. The War Hawks improve to 15-1 overall and 2-0 in the ASC West and McMurry has now won 11 straight matches. The Cru will return to action with an 11:00 AM match at Howard Payne University tomorrow in Brownwood. The UMHB men can clinch a berth in the ASC Championship Tournament with a victory over the Yellow Jackets tomorrow.
