Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's and women's tennis teams dropped dual matches against Texas-Tyler Saturday afternoon in Belton. Both teams tell 8-1 to the Patriots. The Cru women fell to 1-1 on the season and the Cru men to 0-2. UMHB won #1 singles on both the men's and women's side for the lone Cru victories.
Brittni Fausett posted a 6-2, 6-4 win over Amy Freiesenhahn for the UMHB women. On the men's side,
Will Summers topped Ryan Ybarra 7-6, 0-6, 11-9 for the Cru. Ybarra entered the match ranked #5 individually in the ITA West Region rankings.The loss is the first dual match loss of the year for Ybarra.
The Cru women will host St. Catherine March 26th at 4 p.m. while dual matches will continue against Southwestern on March 29th at 10 a.m.
