Men's Tennis to open spring season on Saturday

Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's tennis team will open the spring dual match schedule with a non-conference home match against LeTourneau University this Saturday, February 14th. The Cru will face the Yellow Jackets in a 1:00 PM start at Yvonne Li Tennis Center.

 

The Cru returns six letter winners from a team that finished 6-7 overall and went 4-5 in American Southwest Conference play last spring. The UMHB men advanced to the ASC Championship Tournament before falling to University of the Ozarks in the opening round. Scott Wilding and Jake Stamps both return after earning ASC All-Conference honors last season. Wilding also earned ASC Freshman of the Year honors. Cole Brachman, T.J. Kittrell, John Martin and Tevin Ogo also return as lettermen for the Cru Stamps and Wilding were both named to this spring's ASC Preseason Players to Watch list and the UMHB men were picked to finish third in the West Division in the ASC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

 

Following Saturday's match, the UMHB men will play a pair of non-conference matches in Georgetown next Saturday. The Cru will open ASC West Division play at U.T.-Dallas on March 28th.
