Box Score Austin, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's tennis team had the lead after doubles but could not hold on through singles play as the Cru fell to Concordia Texas 5-4 in the spring opener Friday afternoon in Austin. UMHB is now 0-1 to start the spring while the Tornados improve to 2-3 with the win.
Brendan Thompson teamed with
Julian Dunmore for a win at #1 doubles and
Alex Mackellar paired with
Scott Wilding to win at #2 doubles. Thompson also at #2 singles and
Jake Boles added a victory at #5 singles for the Cru.
The Cru will now return home to host East Texas Baptist University in a 9:00 AM dual match on Saturday. The UMHB women will also host ETBU at 9:00 AM at the Yvonne Li Tennis Center in their spring opener.
