Box Score Marshall, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's tennis team grabbed the lead after doubles and then clinched the match in singles as the Cru edged East Texas Baptist 5-4 Saturday in Marshall. UMHB posted wins at #1 and #3 doubles to take a 2-1 lead.
Scott Wilding won at #1 singles,
Brendan Thompson won at #2 singles and
Brian Martin closed it out with a victory at #6 singles. The Cru is now 2-2 on the season while ETBU falls to 4-8-1 with the loss.
The Cru men will now return home to host four matches next week. That stretch opens with a 3:00 PM start against Gustavus Adolphus College on Monday.
