Men's Tennis edges Gustavus Adolphus 5-4

Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's tennis team took the lead after doubles and then pulled out the victory with three gritty singles wins as the Cru edged Gustavus Adolphus 5-4 Monday in Belton. The UMHB men improve to 3-2 on the year with their third straight victory. The loss drops the Gusties to 17-7 on the year.
 
The Cru won #1 and #3 doubles to take a 2-1 lead going into singles. Alex Mackellar posted a three-set win at #5 singles, Julian Dunmore won in straight sets at #4 singles and Scott Wilding closed out the win with a straight set victory at #1 singles.
 
Monday's match opens a busy week for the Cru men. UMHB will host Linfield College for a 2:00 PM start on Tuesday before hosting Schreiner University and Sul Ross State University over the weekend.
