Men's Tennis closes out play at ITA Southwest Regional

ABILENE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's tennis team continued play at the ITA Southwest Regional Tournament Saturday in Abilene. The Cru men had four players competing in singles play on Saturday.

In flight "B" singles, UMHB's Brian Martin lost in the semifinals as he fell to top-seeded Tyler Norman of Southwestern University 6-2, 6-3.
 
In flight "A" singles consolation play, Cole Weiss fell to Southwestern's Alonso Fernandez 6-2, 6-0. Jace Mahan battled out a 6-3, 2-6, 10-0 victory against Siddath Kortikere of Austin College. Mahan then fell to Austin College's Calum Robe 6-0, 3-6, 10-8 in the quarterfinals.
 
In flight "C" consolation singles, Josh Roselius lost a 6-2, 6-2 decision in the semifinals to Schreiner University's Mario Gallinar.
 
The ITA Southwest Regional Tournament was co-hosted by McMurry University and Hardin-Simmons University and played at multiple sites in Abilene. The tournament closes out the fall schedule for the UMHB men.
