ABILENE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's tennis team closed out the opening tournament of the fall schedule with the finish of the American Southwest Conference Individual Tournament late Saturday in Abilene.
In flight "A" singles, UMHB's
Rafael Omana finished in eighth place.
Brian Martin took seventh place in flight "B" singles.
Cole Weiss won fifth place in flight "C" singles and
Jace Mahan added a fifth place finish in flight "D" singles.
Robert Galligan added a fifth place finish in flight "E",
Cody Aaron took fifth place in flight "G" by edging teammate
Keaton Brown in that match.
Brandon Huckabee finished sixth in flight "I" singles for the Cru.
Martin and Omana teamed for an eighth place finish in flight "A" doubles, Weiss and Brown finished in sixth place in flight "B" doubles. Galligan and Mahan won third place in flight "C" doubles, Aaron and Huckabee finished sixth in flight "D" doubles and
John Swords and
Ty Marshall claimed third place in flight "F".
The UMHB men return to action with the ITA Southwest Regional Tournament. That tournament will be played in Georgetown September 26-28
