KILLEEN, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team survived brutal weather conditions to stretch its winning streak to four consecutive tournaments as the Cru posted a13-stroke victory at the Lady Crusader Stonetree Invitational Monday in Killeen. A cold front blew through early in the round as golfers competed in wet, windy and chilly conditions with temperatures dropping into the low 40's.
 
UMHB fired a 335 team total to win the tournament by 13 strokes. Hardin-Simmons University and East Texas Baptist University tied for second place with 348's. The Cru's second team posted a 350 team total to finish in fourth place and Piedmont College posted a 397 to take fifth place.
 
Jade Ming posted a 79 to lead the Cru women and Ming tied for individual medalist honors with Brooke Hinerman of Hardin-Simmons. Sarah Kmiecik finished in fourth place after shooting 81 and Jo Tiger also finished in the top five with a fifth-place score of 83 for UMHB. Leah Tyner and Lily Self tied for sixth place with 84's, Syndey McConnell's 87 was good for eighth place and Macy Mitchell and Zoe Kelton tied for ninth place with 88's. Annie Hasselbach tied for 13th place with an 89, Molly Rodeffer tied for 16th with a 90, Annika Criss finished 18th after shooting 91, Abigail Davis shot 94 to tie for 21st place and Lauren Chesshir posted a 100 to finish in 24th place.
 
The tournament was shortened to one day and 18 holes due to the weather conditions. The event was played on a par-72, 5,832-yard layout at Stonetree Golf Club in Killeen. The Invitational also closed out the fall schedule for the UMHB women.
