Final Results
BROWNWOOD, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team extended its first round lead and the Cru women raced to a 44-stroke victory at The Preview Tuesday in Brownwood. The tournament was the fall opener for the UMHB women.
The Cru fired a final round 308 to finish at 312-308=620. East Texas Baptist took second place with a 343-321=664 and Hardin-Simmons finished in third place with a team total of 356-315=671.Tournament host Howard Payne University only played individuals in the tournament.
Sydney McConnell won individual medalist honors in her first collegiate tournament after firing a 78-75=153 for UMHB.
Lily Self carded a 77-78=155 to finish second,
Leah Tyner shot 78-78=156 for third place,
Jo Tiger posted a 79-78=157 to claim fourth place,
Annie Hasselbach recorded a 78-80=158 for fifth place,
Jade Ming finished with an 82-77=159 to take sixth place,
Sarah Kmiecik shot 85-76=161 to tie for seventh place and
Annika Criss finished with a 92-83=175 to tie for 17
th place.
The two-day, 36-hole event was played on a par-72, 5,806-yard layout at the Hideout in Brownwood. The Cru will return to action with the Lady Crusader Invitational September 28-29
th at Squaw Valley Golf Club in Glen Rose.
