Women's Cross Country finishes 17th at NCAA Regionals

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's cross country team finished 17th at the NCAA Division III West Region Cross Country Championships Saturday in Claremont.  
 
UMHB finished 17th with 474 points and top-five times equaling 2:08:18.0. Holly Dasher was the Cru's top finisher, coming in 75th with a final time of 24:33.8. Caitlyn Thrasher crossed next for the Cru, finishing 92nd at 25:03.4. Amanda Stockton's 25:33.6 placed her 108th while Lindsey Smith crossed in 125th with a time of 26:30.6. Taylor Wells (26:36.7) and Victoria Hernandez (28:23.0) finished in 132nd and 138th, respectively.
 
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps led the meet with 27 points and a top-five time of 1:50:57.7. Pomona-Pitzer came in second with 105 points, Colorado College was third with 132 points, UC Santa Cruz finished fourth at 144 points and George Fox rounded out the top five with 162 points. Genevieve DiBari of Pomona-Pitzer was the individual leader, crossing at 21:48.5.
 
UMHB ends the fall 2021 campaign as ASC Runners-Up and regional-meet qualifiers.
