WACO, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling team opened its 2021 season at No. 1 Baylor University Saturday evening in Waco.
UMHB opened the meet with a 35.05 in the compulsory event, scoring a 9.75 in compulsory toss. The Cru scored a 24.200 in the Acro event before putting up 9.150, 9.400, 9.600 in the Pyramid event and going into halftime with an 87.250. Baylor opened with a 35.75 in compulsory and scored 29.350 in Acro. The Bears scored 29.500 in the Pyramid event and totaled 95.200 at the break.
The Cru came into the second half of action with a 25.800 in Toss. UMHB went 50.050 in Tumbling and ended with a 90.140 in Team Event. Baylor scored a 28.150 in Toss, 56.350 in Tumbling and 94.320 in Team Event. Baylor earned the win 274.020-253.240.
UMHB returns to action on Monday, March 8
th in a 5:00 p.m. at Arizona Christian University at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton.
