CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball team completed a three-game sweep of University of the Ozarks Saturday in a 14-1 win over the Eagles.
Izzy Gutierrez set the tone for the Cru in the top of the first inning, slamming a three-RBI double.
Tatum Stover and
Bailey Eggleston followed that with RBI hits to give the Cru a 5-0 lead. Ozarks scored one on a wild pitch in the bottom of that inning before UMHB cruised to nine unanswered runs.

Milly Cesare, Elliott and
Bailey Eggleston all drove in runs in the fifth. UMHB secured the three-game sweep with a 14-1 win over the Eagles.
Bailey Eggleston led the Cru with three hits followed by five other Crusaders with two hits each. Harris, Cesare and Elliott led UMHB with two runs each while Elliott had a team-high four RBI.
Bailey Grogan earned the win in the circle for UMHB, giving up six hits with just one run in five innings pitched. Allyson Fultz and Jaela Martin split time in the circle for the Eagles. Fultz went 0.2 innings with three hits and two runs allowed while Martin threw 4.1 innings with 14 hits and 12 runs allowed. UMHB totaled 14 runs on 17 hits with no errors while the Eagles had one run on six hits with one error.
UMHB returns to action in a home series this weekend. The Cru will take on University of Texas at Dallas March 26
